Size/ColorGlacier Holographic Blue / 5FT x 50FT

Iridescent Glacier Blue is a cold ice-blue film carrying a full-spectrum colour shift — the surface moves through violet, teal and pale silver as you change your viewing angle or walk past the car. It is a colour-change vinyl film supplied as one 5 ft × 50 ft roll, for builders who want the finish itself to be the subject.

  • Cold glacial blue base with a full-spectrum shift through violet and teal
  • Acrylic-based air-release adhesive, repositionable during fitting; dry application
  • One roll, 5 ft × 50 ft (250 sq ft gross) — enough material to plan a full colour change; usable coverage depends on your cut plan

FAQ

Does it really change colour, or is that just the photos?

It genuinely shifts with viewing angle and light source. Photographs capture one moment of that shift, which is why your own result will vary more than the gallery suggests.

Is the blue warm or cold?

Cold. Glacier Blue stays in the icy half of the spectrum — violet and teal neighbours, not sky or turquoise warmth.

Why do two panels look like different colours?

Because the shift is directional — adjacent curves show different parts of the spectrum at the same time. That is inherent to holographic film, not a fault.

Can I fix a stretched or creased panel afterwards?

Generally no. Once tension has shifted the colour pattern, redoing the panel is usually the only route to an even result.

Will one roll wrap my whole car?

Depends on the vehicle, and holographic film usually needs more cutting allowance than a solid colour. Measure before you assume one roll is enough.

Finish and appearance

Holographic, glossy
Up close and straight-on, this reads as a bright, cold blue — think light coming through sea ice or a glacier crevasse rather than a warm sky blue. Move off-axis and the shift opens up: expect violet on one part of a panel while an adjacent curve shows teal or a paler silver-blue. The blue always stays in the cold half of the spectrum; this is not a warm or greenish blue.

The base surface reflects cleanly, and the colour shift sits on top of that reflection. Direct sun produces the strongest, most saturated shift; overcast light flattens the film toward a pearl blue; at night under artificial lighting the effect becomes patchy and depends on whatever light source is nearby. The effect is inherently directional, so adjacent panels will not show the same colour at the same time — that is the nature of the film, not a defect.

The colours in photographs are captured at a specific angle under specific light. Expect more variation between the gallery and your own car than you would with a solid colour, and treat the on-screen shade as an indication rather than an exact match.

Appearance varies with lighting, viewing angle, panel shape and display.

Coverage depends on the vehicle, panel layout, installer and cut plan. Follow the product instructions for film-specific construction and application details.

Plan your material

This roll measures 5 ft × 50 ft (250 sq ft gross area). It does not guarantee coverage for a particular vehicle.

  1. Measure panels individually, including edges and curves.
  2. Check cut direction and seams against the 5 ft width.
  3. Allow for alignment and recuts; confirm the plan with your installer before cutting.

Installation and care

The air-release adhesive helps trapped air move toward an open edge. The film can be lifted and repositioned during installation. Apply as directed in the instructions supplied for this film.

Wait 24–48 hours before the first wash. Hand wash with pH-neutral car shampoo and avoid abrasive or automatic brush washes. For removal, use heat-assisted removal as directed for this film; paint condition and installation time can affect results. Test a small area first.
