Size/ColorTungsten Steel / 5FT x 50FT

Liquid Metal Tungsten Steel is a dark gunmetal metallic from ZionYEE's Liquid Metal range — closer to a machined tungsten tool or a brushed gunmetal watch case than to a silver or a plain grey. It is a colour-change vinyl film supplied as one 5 ft × 50 ft roll for builders who want a heavy, industrial metal look.

  • Deep gunmetal gray with a warm metal undertone and a fluid metallic reflection
  • Acrylic-based air-release adhesive, repositionable during fitting; dry application
  • One roll, 5 ft × 50 ft (250 sq ft gross) — enough material to plan a full colour change; usable coverage depends on your cut plan

FAQ

Is this darker than Liquid Metal Silver?

Yes — noticeably. Tungsten Steel is the darkest film in the Liquid Metal range; the silver sits several shades lighter.

Is it a chrome or a gunmetal?

Gunmetal. It reflects like metal but the base is a deep grey with a warm undertone, not a mirror.

Will it look black in shade?

It will darken toward charcoal. Direct sun is what shows the metallic grey; flat light pushes it much darker.

Can I polish out a light mark?

No. Marks cannot be polished out of a film, so an affected panel usually has to be redone.

Will one roll wrap my whole car?

Depends on the vehicle, and a directional metallic usually needs more allowance than a solid colour. Measure before you assume one roll is enough.

Finish and appearance

Liquid Metal, metallic
This is the darkest film in the Liquid Metal range, and the reference is solid tungsten or tool steel: a deep grey with a warm-metal undertone and a dense, weighty appearance. It is several shades darker than the silver version, and it reads as metal rather than as paint because of the way light travels across the surface instead of sitting on it.

Like the other Liquid Metal films, reflections here are fluid rather than sharp — highlights drift as you move along the car. Dark metallic surfaces make that movement easier to see than light ones do, which is part of the appeal and also the part that demands consistency between panels. In sun, expect a bright metallic edge along the creases against a deep grey body; in shade it darkens toward charcoal; at night it holds long, low reflections from nearby lighting.

Dark metallics are routinely shown too light and too flat on screen. Expect the delivered film to be deeper and more obviously metallic than the gallery suggests, and confirm the roll in daylight before cutting.

Appearance varies with lighting, viewing angle, panel shape and display.

Plan your material

This roll measures 5 ft × 50 ft (250 sq ft gross area). It does not guarantee coverage for a particular vehicle.

  1. Measure panels individually, including edges and curves.
  2. Check cut direction and seams against the 5 ft width.
  3. Allow for alignment and recuts; confirm the plan with your installer before cutting.

Installation and care

The air-release adhesive helps trapped air move toward an open edge. The film can be lifted and repositioned during installation. Apply as directed in the instructions supplied for this film.

Wait 24–48 hours before the first wash. Hand wash with pH-neutral car shampoo and avoid abrasive or automatic brush washes. For removal, use heat-assisted removal as directed for this film; paint condition and installation time can affect results. Test a small area first.
