Size/ColorMetallic Silver / 5FT x 50FT

Liquid Metal Silver is a smooth, flowing metallic silver from ZionYEE's Liquid Metal range — closer to liquid mercury or freshly poured pewter than to a bright chrome or a flat grey paint. It is a colour-change vinyl film supplied as one 5 ft × 50 ft roll for builders who want a poured-metal look rather than a mirror.

  • Fluid metallic silver — reflections stretch and bend instead of snapping to a hard edge
  • Acrylic-based air-release adhesive, repositionable during fitting; dry application
  • One roll, 5 ft × 50 ft (250 sq ft gross) — enough material to plan a full colour change; usable coverage depends on your cut plan

FAQ

Is this a chrome finish?

No. It is a flowing metallic silver — reflections stretch and bend rather than mirroring like chrome. It is considerably softer to look at than a true mirror film.

How is it different from Super Bright Metallic Silver?

Super Bright aims at maximum reflectivity and reads harder and nearer to chrome. This one aims at the movement of poured metal and is softer and more fluid.

Do panels need to be laid in the same direction?

Yes, if you want the reflection to flow continuously between them. Different lay directions and different tension will interrupt the flow.

Can I fix a crease afterwards?

Generally no. Once the film has been creased or unevenly stretched, redoing the panel is usually the only way to get an even result.

Will one roll wrap my whole car?

Depends on the vehicle, and Liquid Metal usually needs more allowance than a solid colour. Measure before you assume one roll is enough.

Finish and appearance

Liquid Metal, metallic
Where the Super Bright Metallic film in this range aims at near-chrome brightness, this one aims at movement. The surface reads as though the metal has only just stopped moving — highlights are elongated and soft rather than crisp. The base silver is mid-bright with an even metallic content, so you get sheen rather than visible flake.

The defining characteristic is that reflections are fluid: a highlight stretches and bends along a body line instead of snapping to a hard edge. That flatters gentle curves, but it also means differences in film tension between panels are easier to see than on a solid colour. In direct sun the film is bright and smooth with a soft highlight; under overcast light it becomes an even grey metal; at night it holds long, smeared reflections from nearby lighting rather than sharp points.

The flowing quality is exactly what a still photograph cannot convey. Expect the real film to look more liquid and less uniform than the gallery, and check the delivered roll in daylight before cutting.

Appearance varies with lighting, viewing angle, panel shape and display.

Plan your material

This roll measures 5 ft × 50 ft (250 sq ft gross area). It does not guarantee coverage for a particular vehicle.

  1. Measure panels individually, including edges and curves.
  2. Check cut direction and seams against the 5 ft width.
  3. Allow for alignment and recuts; confirm the plan with your installer before cutting.

Installation and care

The air-release adhesive helps trapped air move toward an open edge. The film can be lifted and repositioned during installation. Apply as directed in the instructions supplied for this film.

Wait 24–48 hours before the first wash. Hand wash with pH-neutral car shampoo and avoid abrasive or automatic brush washes. For removal, use heat-assisted removal as directed for this film; paint condition and installation time can affect results. Test a small area first.
